- COMMUNITY ARTS GRANTS - This program is primarily for not-for-profit organizations. Grants in this category provide support for arts activities that engage communities and/or audiences in an arts experience. The Council is interested in funding projects, programs, and opportunities that bring together diverse groups of people and link them through shared, arts-based experiences. The goal of this program is to raise awareness of, and respect for, the value of the arts in community and to foster collaboration between artists, arts organizations, schools, community groups, and businesses. Grants range from $1000 - $5000.
- AMERICAN MASTERPIECES - to support presentations, residencies, performances, and/or workshops by designated American Masterpiece artists at local schools, libraries, community organizations, parks & recreation departments, libraries etc. Grant amounts range from $250 - $1,500.
- TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE/TRAVEL GRANTS - The purpose of this grant is to enhance organizational development and training by providing opportunities for organization staff and/or Trustees to hire a consultant or attend a conference. Grant amounts range from $250 - $1000.
- LOCAL ARTS PARTNERSHIP GRANTS: The purpose of this grant is to provide operating funds over a three-year period to assist local arts service organizations to maintain, develop and/or strengthen relationships and long-term partnerships in their communities. These activities and partnerships should reflect the Council’s mission “to advance and preserve the arts at the center of Vermont communities.”
- CULTURAL FACILITIES GRANTS - to enhance, create, or expand the capacity of an existing building to provide cultural programming. Improvements such as wiring, heating, ADA accessibility features, lighting, and stage work are eligible. Grant amounts range from $750 - $20,000.
- ARTS LEARNING GRANTS - This program is primarily for educational institutions, or not-for-profit arts organizations. Grants in this category provide funding to develop, plan, and implement arts education programming for in-school and/or out-of-school activities that support learning in and through the arts. The Council encourages the development of collaborations among education institutions and arts organizations and artists to enhance student learning and is interested in projects or programs that immerse participants in long-term, in-depth arts learning experiences. Grants range from $1000 - $5000.
